A most heartfelt welcome

Thank for joining me, Lady Hilda Trelawney Hope, intrepid lady traveller and wife of a high-ranking British MP. As I send daily despatches on Grand Tour through Switzerland, I am happy to share a sneaky peak of my daily diary with you, gentle reader.

The subject du jour? Only the primo, the venerable, the sexiest celebrity sleuth of our era, Mr Sherlock Holmes Himself. (Excuse the gush of the fountain pen, even a Victorian lady can’t help feel a certain flush. The size of that pipe alone!)

Joining Mr Holmes and his faithful sidekick Dr Watson will be a cast some 70 characters from the Sherlock Holmes Society of London on pilgrimage to the beautiful Bernese Oberland.
